Yorkfield Fire Protection District proudly protects 2500 people living in an area of 2 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid on call status.
The Yorkfield Fire Prtoection District is a paid-on-call fire district which serves an area which is mainly residential, atlthough many calls are recieved on the two Illinois Tollways that run through the district (I-294, I-88). Members are required to be certified as FFII and to the EMT-B level. The district operates its own ambulance service and responds to approximately 300 calls a year.
