Asbury Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 1800 people living in an area of 43 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
The Asbury Volunteer Fire Department is located just 8 miles ENE of Albertville and just 10 miles ESE of Guntersville, Alabama. The department is composed of 15 members with about 3 of those being EMT's. We have 3 pumpers, 2 tankers, 1 brush truck and 1 Rapid Response Quick Attack Rescue truck. Our responses annually include structure and wildland fires, search and rescue and EMS both medical and trauma. We cover the east side of Marshall county also overlapping into Dekalb county. The department conducts training the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month and at least 4-6 Saturdays per year. Our monthly business meetings are conducted on the first Monday of each month and we welcome new members at any time. Our primary goal is to protect the lives and property of those in our community who help support us. We strive to provide prompt and immediate fire protection and quality medical care for those in need. Asbury V.F.D. is a non-profit volunteer organization and operations rely solely on donations, government grants and fundraising events.
