Waterville & District Fire Department proudly protects 5800 people living in an area of 100 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
Waterville & District Fire Department protects residents in the communities of Waterville, Woodville, Cambridge, Grafton, Prospect, Rockland, Black Rock & Chipman Brook in the scenic Annapolis Valley. We answer several calls for assistance, from fires to EMS to search and rescue. The Department is equipped with modern day firefighting equipment, the jaws of life, medical gear as well as two defibrillators. Active members are current in basic firefighting principals, extrication techniques as well as First-aid and CPR. The majority of the members are also trained in AED operation. The department is funded through support from the Village of Cornwallis Square, the Ladies Auxiliary as well as the many fundraisers the department hosts.
