Riceboro Volunteer Fire Dept. proudly protects 4700 people living in an area of 25 square miles. We operate out of one station that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
Our Department is strictly Volunteer, we have mutual aid agreements with two counties and five surrounding fire departments. We provide emergency services through the First Responder program with Liberty Regional E.M.S, and also cover in our response area two major inner coastal highways, and Interstate 95 for a 5 mile stretch covering the north and south bound lanes. Within our AOR are two major industries; Chemtall, a producer of chemicals and Interstate Paper. Our monthly business meetings are held at our office; 237 MAGNOLIA ST., the old Riceboro City Hall, on the first Monday of each month. We train at the station on S. Coastal Hwy., on all other Mondays. Meetings and training begin promptly at 7 PM.
