Jefferson R-7 Fire Protection District

We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status.

The Jefferson R-7 Fire Protection Association formed in 1953 by a group of citizens concerned about safety after a fatal fire. By 1954 the group had raised sufficient moneys to start and complete a building, a portion still in use today In 1973 the citizens were presented with a referendum to create a tax-supported district. A majority vote led to the formation of the Jefferson R-7 Fire Protection District. The frequency listed is for all dispatches to a large majority of the Fire and EMS agencies located in Jefferson County, MO. The Fire agencies talk back on 160.095 and 155.955, while the EMS agencies talk back on 155.355. Other frequencies used are 155.115 for administration, 153.830 for command, and 154.280 for Mutual Aid for out of county agencies.
