Maybrook Engine Company No. 1, Inc. proudly protects 4000 people living in an area of 4.2 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a private department whose members are on a volunteer status.

The Maybrook Engine Company No. 1, Inc. is located in the center of Orange County, New York, approximately 1-1/2 hours north of New York City, off Interstate 84, Exit 5. Our organization is divided into the: Maybrook Engine Company No. 1, Inc. which has been in existance since 1914 and the Maybrook Fire District which has been around since 1985. The fire district owns all apparatus, equipment and the firehouse itself. They govern all apparatus and equipment purchases, building maintenance costs and general operating expenses. The fire district is comprised of: (1) Commissioner Chairman, (4) Commissioners and (1) Secretary/Treasurer. The Maybrook Engine Company is a public, volunteer organization that is broken-up into the civil and firematic sides. The civil side is responsible for the general business of the company and is lead by: (1) President, (1) Vice-President, (1) Rescording Secretary, (1) Financial Secretary, and (1) Treasurer. The firematic side is lead by: (1) Chief, (2) Assistant Chiefs (1st & 2nd), (2) Deputy Chiefs, (1) Captain, and (3) Lieutentants.
