ST. PAUL FIRE DEPARTMENT & RESCUE SQUAD proudly protects 3000 people living in an area of 135 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
The St. Paul Fire Department was established in 1887 after a fire destroyed several businesses on the south side of main street in St. Paul Nebraska. The Fire Department currently has 29 active members, the Rescue Department which has 26 EMT's. The department services most of the central part of Howard County Nebraska. The department has 1 75ft. Aerial Ladder w/pump, 2 pumpers, 3 grass trucks, 1 2000 gal. tanker & 2 BLS ambulances.
