Joliet Fire Department

The Joliet Fire Department, founded in 1852, is a career organization of 179 sworn members operating from 8 fire stations. Joliet firefighters also have responsibility to provide services to Silver Cross Field - home of the professional baseball team, the Joliet Jackhammers; to Route 66 Raceway the site of numerous racing events including two NHRA National Drag Racing Competitions; and to Chicagoland Speedway - the home of the NASCAR Tropicana 400.
