John Carroll University Emergency Medical Services

John Carroll University Department of Emergency Medical Services began operations in April 2002 as a BLS Quick Response service, responding to the campus of John Carroll University in University Heights, OH. Currently 80 volunteer First Responders, EMT-B's and Paramedics respond between 3 p.m. and 9 a.m., seven days a week to an estimated 300 medical calls a year. All critical transports are conducted by the ALS-equipped University Heights Fire Department. Non-Medical Courtesy Transports are conducted for students who may require an emergency room visit but have no other transportation.
