Apollo Hose Co #3 Armstrong County Station 40 proudly protects 2300 people living in an area of 5 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
We, at Apollo Hose Company #3, want to offer our deepest condolences and prayers to the families of the many every-day heroes who were victims of one of our nation's greatest tragedies, September 11, 2001. We would like to specifically recognize our fellow firefighters, members of the New York City Fire Department, who lost their lives trying to save the many trapped in the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center.
