City of Bowie Fire Department proudly protects 5400 people living in an area of 7 square miles. Bowie Fire Department provides EMS service to approximately 10,000 people in a 400 square mile area. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status.
The City of Bowie lies in a rural area of North Texas. Serving a community of 5420.We respond to approximately 1200 EMS and 300 Fire incidents per year. The membership of the department consists of 13 Career members and 25 Volunteers. Career members provide the EMS care at the MICU level. Fire prevention and education are top priorities and are conducted with the assistance of the Bowie ISD.
