Orem-Lindon Fire & EMS  department is located in Utah County, Utah. We respond to over 6500 calls a year out of four fire stations strategically located throughout the City with land recently purchased for a fourth Fire Station to accommidate recent growth for our college community areas. General Information �Population: 100,000 �Area: Approximately 23 square miles �Located in Utah County. �40 miles south of Salt Lake City and Salt Lake International Airport. �4 major on/off interchanges to Interstate 15 which runs North and South. �The Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains forms Orem's eastern boundary. �Utah Lake, the State's largest freshwater lake, forms Orem's western boundary. �Neighbors to the south include Provo, Springville, Spanish Fork and Payson. �Neighbors to the north include Lindon, Pleasant Grove, and American Fork. �Environment includes all 4 seasons with local outdoor activities during each one. �Home of the national Timpanogos Storytelling Festival. �17 Elementary Schools, 3 Junior High Schools, 3 High Schools, all in Alpine School District. �Home to Utah Valley State College, a 4 year public school, with 25,000+ students. �Neighbors to Brigham Young University (BYU) located in Provo �Nearby entertainment includes Sundance Resort 20 minutes up Provo Canyon, NBA Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City. �Home of national high school teams in track and field and basketball. �20-40 minutes away from over 6 national ski resorts. �15-30 minutes away from lakes and reservoirs for water-skiing and fishing. �Nationally recognized Provo River is locate up Provo Canyon for fishing �Close to many National Forest campgrounds. �Nearby to challenging rock climbing canyons. In 2008, Orem was awarded a long term contract for Fire and Paramdic for the community. Housed at Station 35 in Lindon is a class A Structure Engine, paramedic unit, and Brush Unit. Along we have 4 Full Time Firefighters Assigned.
