Lexington Ambulance Association proudly protects 2500 people living in an area of 90 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a private department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status.
Established in 1978, the Lexington Ambulance Association (LAA)is a Non-Tax suppported, Not-for-profit organization. LAA's provides Basic and Intermediate Emergency Life Support for the citizens of Lexington and surrounding area. LAA currently recieves money needed for operations from donations, memorials, household subscriptions, and patient charges. Anyone can become active in supporting and directing the LAA simply by joining the association. The Volunteer EMT with LAA may be called on to perform emergency services for friends or neighbors. For some this is very challenging, but for others it is the most rewarding part of being involved with your community. The LAA EMT is On Call for emergencies between 6pm and 6am on a rotating schedule throughout the month. During the daytime hours we currently have 2 EMTs in paid positions. Please contact us with any questions at the above phone number and address or e-mail at Lexington_Ambulance@yahoo.com
