OYSTER BAY FIRE DEPARTMENT proudly protects 25000 people living in an area of 9 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
The Oyster Bay Fire Department was organized on April 1, 1888. The Oyster Bay Fire Protection district is approximattly 9 miles, including Cove Neck, Oyster Bay Cove, and Laurel Hollow. We provide both fire and emergency transport. The members of the Oyster Fire Department are ALL volunteers who sacrafice their own personal time to protect and serve their community.
