Big Creek Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 5000 people living in an area of 25 square miles. We operate out of one stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
We are located at Sidney, Kentucky and service a five mile radius area. We cover from the top of Coeburn Mt. at Canada to the top of Bent Mt. at Sidney and down State Route 468 to JP bank at Hatfield. We currently have the AMKUS Rescue System and the Mat Jack Air Bag system, that we use in extrication.
