Red Springs Rescue Squad proudly protects 15 000 people living in an area of 90 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
Red Springs Rescue Squad operates at EMT level manning an ambulance, a QRV/light rescue unit, and a heavy rescue unit. We provide various services including EMS, vehicle extrication, and water rescue. Among our other duties are assisting the Red Springs Police Dept. and Robeson County Sheriff's Dept. with crime scene lighting; assisting local fire depts. with lighting, rehab, and suppression; responding mutual aid to other area squads for rescue purposes; and assisting Robeson County EMS and FHC-Hoke EMS with patient care and mass casualty situations.
