The Department is a combination career and volunteer dept. with 14 career firefighters, 8 career emts, 3 career Shift Captains,one non union managing director and 2 active volunteer fire fighters. Springettsbury Township is home to Harley Davidson, Inc., Donlee Technologies, York Container Corp. and The Standard Register Co., plus over a half a dozen strip centers, several 100+ bed skilled health care facilities, the county prison, county offices and E911 communications center and 2 multi-anchor enclosed Shopping Malls. We have 5 large garden apartment complexes located in the twp and our northeast quadrant is within the 10 mile EPZ of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant for which we drill annually.
