Curt & Karen Yoder, co-authors of THE HEART BEHIND THE HERO have announced plans to publish a sequel to their book, with publication scheduled for mid-Summer 2002.

"We are extremely grateful for the positive response received from firefighters and their families, across the country, who have read the first edition of THE HEART BEHIND THE HERO," says co-author and 26-year veteran firefighter, Curt Yoder. "The stories shared truly capture the spirit of today's American firefighters and rescue workers, and serves as a tribute to our brothers and sisters across the country."

The Yoder's are still in the process of collecting stories for the sequel, which will include messages of inspiration to honor those lost in the WTC tragedy.

"We are looking for stories that respectfully represent the hearts and minds of today's American firefighters, ranging from life-changing calls that deeply touched their hearts, to humorous calls, rookie stories and firehouse antics," says co-author Karen Yoder. "The goal is to represent firefighters and rescue workers in an honest, three-dimensional, positive light."

THE HEART BEHIND THE HERO includes a "Tribute to Our Fallen" and "Roll of Honor" listing the names of all firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty, as recognized by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each book is donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Those wishing to submit a story for possible inclusion in THE HEART BEHIND THE HERO: PART 2 may do so at: submitstory@firestories.com. Deadline for submissions is December 20, 2001. Please send story in e-mail format as attachments will not be opened.

You may visit their website at www.firestories.com for more information.
