Keisha Amspaugh is the fire chief of the Mary Ann Township Fire Department (MATFD) in Newark, OH. She has been in the fire service and with the MATFD for 17 years. After acquiring her State Tested Nursing Assistant credential and getting a job as a point-of-care technician in an emergency department, Amspaugh became a member of the MATFD and acquired her EMT-basic. She got into a volunteer firefighter class soon after, continued onto level 120 and 240 fire cards, and became a paramedic and an EMS instructor. Amspaugh promoted to every rank in the department and was promoted to the rank of fire chief in 2021. She also was promoted recently into the interim fire chief position at the Buckeye Lake, OH, Fire Department.
