He did not enter a plea, according to WTOL reporters.

Abou-Arab was charged Friday with two counts of aggravated murder and arson for the fire that left Firefighters Stephen A. Machcinski, 42, and James Dickman, 31, dead.

Another hearing is set this Wednesday to discuss a request made by the defense that Toledo Police Department secure, protect and preserve the crime scene so that experts can conduct chemical tests and analysis, the station reported.

The owner, photographed at the scene, allegedly used a flammable liquid and was seen in the area where the fire started.
