Host Doug Cline talks with Capt. Aaron Colette about effective fireground operations with limited staffing. 

Capt. Colette is a 16-year veteran with the Burlington, VT, Fire Department and a volunteer firefighter in Vergennes. He's an instructor at the Vermont fire academy on firefighting and technical rescue topics. 

The two tackle the the reality of today's fireground, whether it's a career or volunteer fire department. Whether it's five volunteer firefighters getting the first line on a fire or six career firefighters performing suppression and life safety operations, a number of tasks must be completed.
