The Henrico County Division of Fire, under the direction of Chief Ron Mastin, has placed three 2002 Pierce Quantum pumpers in service. All are indenitically matched, and will assinged to Engines 2, 4, and 15. These pumpers are powered by Detroit Diesel Series-60 430HP motors mated to Allison World transmissions. A 1500GPM Waterous pump is backed up by a 750 gallon tank. Also on board is a Harrison 10kW generator, Will-Burt 6000W light tower, and several 750W Kwik-Raze flood lights. The new Quantums replace 1990 Grumman pumpers which will be assigned elsewhere in the Division.
