unit image

The Burkburnett Volunteer Fire Department recently took delivery of a new 2003 grass truck. The cab and chassis are a Freightliner FL70 4x4, 2 door, 250hp, Md 3060 Alison Automatic. The Bed was Built by Neel Assoc., Inc. in Waco, TX.

A committee for the Burkburnett Fire Deptartment, wrote the specs for this truck.

The truck carries 1000 gal of water with a 10" dump valve to the rear. It has a 250gpm pump powered by a diesel Briggs and Stratton engine with a foam proportioning system. It has one 200 ft 1" Hose reel, 300ft of 1 1/2 pre connect, and 1000 ft of 2 1/2 supply hose. Also, the compartments hold a 2000 gal. bladder type drop tank and a 12,000 lb. winch mounted on a receiver so it can be used in the front or rear of truck.
