New Jersey Firefighters Extricate One

Photos/Story by Dennis C. Sharpe

The Hamilton Township (Atlantic County) New Jersey EMS responded at 10:09 hours on December 24 to Leipzig Avenue and Lombard Streets for a two vehicle motor vehicle accident that required one civilian to be extricated from her vehicle.

The location is behind a large shopping mall, which EMS used to land the medivac helicopter, SouthStar.

The civilian was trapped in her vehicle from the legs down after her vehicle collided with a SUV and came to rest in a wooded area.

The extrication was completed in 20 minutes and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
