On December 19th approx 4:15pm Norfolk firefighters were called to 1347 Bolton Street for a possible bedroom fire in a 2 story wood frame dwelling.
Engines 1, 8 and 10 along with ladder 1 squad 1 and battalion 1 responded to the call for help.
Engine 1 arrived on scene with fire showing from floor 2 on the "D" side.
The crew from Engine 1 advanced an 1.3/4 attack line from the front to perform an aggressive interior attack while squad 1's crew began a search.
Ladder 1 performed ventilation and Engine 8 stretched a backup line to assist Engine 1 if needed.
Engine 10 pulled the assignment for RIT team. The fire was brought under control within 15 minutes, with damage contained to a room and its contents.
Engine 2 responded as an additional engine.
