Connecticut Firefighters Battle House Fire

On November 13th, 2001 at 13:45 hrs, the Terryville Fire Department responded to a house fire. Upon arrival first in units found a two story tenement house with fire venting through the front windows of the second floor.

Crews tried to make an interior attack from the rear and push the fire back into the room but were unsuccessful do to the fact that fire had already spread to the attic before their arrival.

It took 25 firefighters opperating four engines, one tower ladder and one rescue about 1.5 hrs to contain the blaze.
