In the early morning hours of January 10, 2002 the Longview Texas Fire Department was summoned for reported structure fire in Station 3's first due area.

Longview Eng 3, Eng 4, Eng 1, Eng 2, Medic 3, and Rescue 2 were dispatched with the report of a working fire.

Eng 3 and Medic 3 arrived to find a fully involved residential frame with significant exposures. An aggressive attack and exposure protection by first due companies prevented serious extension.

No injuries occured and the fire was contained in approximately 30 minutes.
