Gardiner, New York Firefighters Fight Train Station Blaze

At 2254 hours, the Gardiner Fire District of Ulster County, New York was alerted for a reported structure fire at 7 Station Square, with 9-1-1 dispatchers advising Gardiner Chief Frank Ogno of numerous calls.

Chieg Ogno arrived to a heavily involved structure at the Old Gardiner Train Station.

An immediate mutual aid request for assistance from Shawangunk Valley, Wallkill and Modena was placed with additional mutual aid from Highland and New Paltz.

The building which now housed 3 small businesses was heavily damaged.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Ulster County Fire Investigation Unit.
