Firefighters Battle Under Construction House Fire in Johnson County, TX

At ll:15 pm October 16, 2002, a possible structure fire was dispatched to the Joshua Volunteer Fire Department, located in Johnson County, Texas.

When a police officer arrived on scene he reported a 2-story home totally involved.

Joshua Volunteer Fire Department arrived on scene with 2 engines, and one foam truck. They called in a 2nd alarm to the Keene Volunteer Fire Department located 10 miles away. Keene Volunteer Fire Department responded with one engine and one tower truck.

A total of 25 volunteer firefighters fought the blaze for 2 hours before bringing it under control.

The 3,000+ sq. ft. house was under construction and was a total loss. The cause of fire is unknown at this time.
