Firefighters From East Northport, NY Fire Department were dispatched to a report of structure fire on Friday, February 8, 2002.

Crews responded quickly to find a two story private dwelling with heavy smoke showing.

Firefighters quickly initiated an attack on the fast moving fire using class A foam and numerous hand lines.

The Northport Fire Department was assisted by Commack and Kings Park Fire Departments, and Northport Fire Department stood by at East Northport's headquarters.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.

No injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported.
