PA Firefighters Battle Auto Fire

Photos/Story by Rob Hornaman

On March 14, 2002, a call came into Millcreek Township Fire Control during the mid afternoon for a vehicle fire at the intersection of West 32nd Street and Midland Drive. Millcreek Twp. Fire Control dispatched the West Ridge Fire Department to the scene.

WRFD Chief 470 was quickly on scene and reported a well involved station wagon.

Engine 17 was in route 3 minutes after the initial dispatch and arrived on scene within 1 minutes.

Firefighters extended an attack hose line to the vehicle. They had the fire under control within minutes.

The vehicle is considered a total loss. Crews were on scene for about 30 minutes. No injuries were reported.
