NY Firefighters Battle 2 Alarm Building Fire

On Friday May 10th at 1930 Hours the City of Beacon Fire Department was alerted for a possible structure fire at 581 Main Street.

Upon Arrival Units found a 100 X 50 Vacant Commercial Building 75% Involved. The Building at one time housed a Lumber Yard.

The intial response was E-3311, E-3312, L-3345 along with Department Chief, Terry Davis and a Ambulance from the Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corp.

Shortly after his arrival City of Beacon Chief Davis transmitted a second alarm bringing R-3355 and a Beacon Ambulance FlyCar to the scene and Village of Fishkill 1 Ladder & Glenham 1 Engine for Station Coverage.

Chief Davis later called Rombout Ladder-6245 for use of it's tower to Aid in master stream operations.

The building was a total loss and the fire is under investigation.
