NY Firefighters Battle Junk Yard Fire

Photos/Story By Brian Duddy

Spring Valley New York firefighters were dispatched to report of fire in a junk yard at 8 Spring Street in Spring Valley, NY.

Firefighters arrived quickly to find a working fire in the junk yard.

Crews had to force entry through a stockade fence to get hand lines on the fast moving fire.

The fire which consumed a commercial building and roughly 25 automobiles was contained rather quickly.

Mutual aid was called in from Hillcrest, South Spring Valley, Monsey, Nanuet, & Pearl River to assist in combating the flames.

No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported.
