Personnel from Frederick County Dept. of Fire & Rescue Services, as well as volunteer personnel from Independent Hose (Frederick #1), Juniors (Frederick #2), Uniteds (Frederick #3), Citizens (Frederick #4), Fort Detrick (#50), Walkersville (#11), Braddock Heights (#12), Jefferson (#20), Lewistown (#22), Walkersville Rescue (#24), and Uniteds substation (Frederick #31) responded to this single-family structure fire in the western section of Frederick City.

There were no injuries to the occupants or firefighters, but one cat died in the blaze.

The fire was ruled accidental; suspected to have been caused by an unattended candle.
