Members of the Calcium Fire Department took part in a training excerise at the Niagra Mohawk Fire School in Oswego, NY on June 1 - 2, 2002.
The class consisted of very in depth hands-on and classroom instruction.
Firefighters were taught about electric and natural gas utilities. Topics covered included
power distribution, line voltages, vault fires, transformer fires, natural gas
line fires. The firefighters learned how to react to each type of fire and also the different extinguishment methods for each type of fire.
