CA Firefighters Battle Four-Plex Fire

In the early morning hours, a structure fire occurred in the down town area of Huntington Beach, California.

Due to the time of day and potential for trapped residents, a second alarm assignment was requested.

However, aggressive action taken by first alarm units making an aggressive attack on the fire kept it to the unit of origin.

Residents in adjoining units were evacuated by firefighters, and an exposure line was put into place to keep the rapidly advancing fire from extending to an operational oil facility.

Truck company personnel from Huntington Truck 45 check for extension and perform salvage to protect the property of the other residents.

One burn victim was treated and transported to local area burn center. His condition was non-life threatening.

The fires cause and origin is still under investigation.
