Hampered with late afternoon winds, Monrovia firefighters responded to this housing project under construction on Wednesday August 7th 2002.
A quick attack with a deck gun and 2 1/2" hose line followed up by 1 3/4" hand lines kept the fire to two units.
Firefighters did an excellent job of preventing the fire from spreading to other units.
A total of 40 firefighters with the assistance of Los Angeles County Fire Department controlled the fire in approximately 20 minutes.
There were no injuries in the 5:00 p.m. blaze. The blaze is being ruled as suspicious.
