Plattekill, New York Firefighters Battle Van Fire

At 0235 hours, on Tuesday the 13th of August, Firefighters from Plattekill Fire Department in Ulster County, NY were alerted for a van fire at 60 Krystal Drive.

Car-47 Chief James Brugger arrived to a well-involved conversion van with fire extending to the structure which was a 1.5 frame dwelling.

Engines 4710 & 4730 along with Tanker 4720 responded.

Chief Brugger requested 2nd tones for all manpower to scene.

Firefighter's had fire under control in about 15 minutes.

The van was totalled and the house suffered minor damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the New York State Police & Ulster County Arson Investigation Unit.
