Dallas Fire-Rescue firefighters battled a blaze at Dallas skating rink
Wednesday evening.
The Super Skate, at Woody Road and C.F. Hawn Freeway is about a
23,000-square-foot building.
It took firefighters about two hours to get the fire under control, and was
estimated at $450,000 loss.
The cause was believed to be an electrical pole falling onto the structure.
Because of the heat and humidity, extra manpower was needed to relieve fire
crews.
With the threat of roof collapse, the operation quickly became defensive.
