     The main station for the City of Fairfax Fire Department and the Fairfax Volunteer Fire Department is Fire Station 3, located at 4081 University Drive in Fairfax, VA. The station was built in 1960 and an addition was made in 1996, expanding the building and adding two more floors. The fourth floor of the station houses the City of Fairfax Fire Headquarters.
