In Quarters: Leon Valley, Texas, Fire Department

May 12, 2015
A new five bay, 16,000-square-foot fire station has opened to serve The City of Leon Valley.

The City of Leon Valley completed the construction of a new standalone fire station to replace the fire station that was attached to city hall and the police department since 1972.

The new station is 16,000 square feet and has five drive-through bays and a separate administration area with a large training room. The living quarters includes 10 dorm rooms and a television room furnished with leather recliners. Up to 10 can sit at the custom dining table made out of a re-purposed bowling lane section and two fire hydrants.

The bay area features a decontamination shower, extractor room, and separate bunker gear room, plus a workshop.

There is also an indoor/outdoor fitness area.
