The Beaver Lake Volunteer Fire Department is now accepting resumes and applications for the position of full-time Fire Chief. The district is an unincorporated area of eastern Benton County, Arkansas just outside of Rogers. The area is home to Wal-Mart, Tyson Foods, JB Hunt, The University of Arkansas, Crystal Bridges Museum and the beautiful Ozark Mountains. Also, Rogers is consistently listed among the CNN Money's Top 100 places to live and is home to Beaver Lake (437 miles shoreline). The fire department is a tax-based volunteer department with a paid full-time chief. The department has an outstanding fleet of vehicles and operates from two stations in its district, with a training facility at one of the stations. Qualified candidates must have substantial knowledge regarding fire and emergency medial services, as well as demonstrated managerial and people skills. Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's Degree or Higher  Fire Science or Public Administration or Comparable Work Experience - Graduate or Participant of the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program - Licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician Basic or Higher - Haz-Mat Certification to the Awareness Level or Higher - Certified Instructor I or Higher - Minimum of 10 Years in the Fire Service with an Accredited Department - 3 to 5 Years Within the Command Structure  Currently at the Rank of Captain of Higher Benefits - Funded State Retirement - Chief's Vehicle Provided - Paid Vacation - Personal Time Off; All Government Holidays Recognized Please submit a resume, 5 work-related references and salary expectations to: John Buck 14442 E.
