Firefighters

The City of Edmond has scheduled a recruitment period for Firefighters. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, must meet all requirements of the Oklahoma Firefighters Pension and Retirement system, possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a driving record acceptable to the City’s insurance carrier, a valid driver’s license and have no felony convictions. Applicants will be required to pass a written test, a physical ability/agility test, polygraph examination, and the state required physical examination. All applicants must be able to obtain National Registry as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic within eighteen months of hire date. After completion of the recruit academy training, the base salary will be $3,738.10 per month. Applications will be accepted starting Monday December 3, 2012 until 5:00 pm Friday, December 21, 2012.
