The Fire Science Department at the University of New Haven is one of the oldest and largest Fire Science programs in the United States supporting education in the area of Fire Science Administration, Fire and Arson Investigation, Emergency Management, Fire Protection Engineering and Paramedicine. The department is undergoing significant expansion and as part of that expansion is seeking to hire either a tenure track Assistant Professor or non-tenure track Lecturer in Fire Science Administration.
Appointment to a tenure track position requires an earned doctoral degree in Fire Science or a closely related area, J.D. degrees will not be considered terminal degrees for tenure track appointments. Appointment to the non-tenure track position requires a Master's degree in Fire Science or closely related area of study. The department highly values professional experience in a senior leadership role in public fire protection and previous teaching experience is also valued.
