Fire Chief

Webster City, Iowa a North Central Iowa community of 8,000 is seeking applicants for the position of Fire Chief.  This position reports to the City Manager and is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the Fire Department composed of a work force of 4 full-time and 25 volunteer firemen.  A minimum of five years FT experience in a fire department, or three years FT experience in fire department and two years of comparable experience or educational training required.   Applicant must demonstrate progressively responsible experience in management of fire department.  Salary range $58,000-$62,000 DOQ with competitive benefits package offered.  Webster City is one of the forty-nine cities in Iowa that are covered by Chapter 411 of the Iowa Code and members of the Municipal Fire & Police Retirement System of Iowa.
