      Lyons, SD – December 19, 2011 – Rosenbauer, the fire-equipment industry's leading manufacturer, has won an order from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of the Interior to supply fire engineering equipment worth a total of $318.8 million US. 1,125 vehicles are to be supplied, of various types and for various operational purposes, as are boats and other civil defense equipment.

This equipment will be delivered to firefighters in developing countries who try to protect their communities with obsolete or, often, no fire-fighting gear.

    Round Five of Fire Prevention/Safety Grants were announced today by DHS.The money is headed to fire departments as well as organizations that focus on fire prevention and safety measures.The grants are awarded to fire departments and other eligible organizations to reduce losses from fire and fire-related hazards. Grant projects focus on preventing fire-related injuries to children, seniors, firefighters and other high-risk groups.
