- The South River Fire Department Remembers 9-11-01
- The South River Fire Department of New Jersey remembers the heroes of the September 11, 2001 tragedy. We proudly embrace a piece of steel from the once mighty WTC, and a thank you letter and plaque from The FDNY. Our entire town feels the effects of that horrible day. We lost a few residents that day, but they and their families will ALWAYS be in our hearts. The WTC was fully visible from South River, NJ. Our residents watched it burn in awe.
