- Fire & EMS Training Program at Texas A&M University-Commerce
- The best and most up to date training curriculum and the dedication of our certified instructors gives the Fire Training and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Program a competitive advantage that few other fire training program in the United States can offer. Both programs are developed and maintained by the Public Safety Institute at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
On completion of the programs, the trainees will have met the Texas Commission on Fire Protection's requirements for Basic Firefighter and completed the Texas Department of Health's requirements for Emergency Medical Technician. In addition to the knowledge and skills, graduates will also understand the political, social and economic issues related to fire science at various levels, and thus, be in a position to address these issues and seek acceptable avenues for their resolve.

- The Fire Protection Society is a group with members nationwide formed of graduates and current students in the highly respected Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology Program at Oklahoma State University. The website contains current events and information for alumni, current members and prospective students.
- Montgomery College Fire Science and Emergency Services Program
- The Montgomery College Fire Science and Emergency Services Program offers associates degrees in Fire Service Management. The program provides individuals with the principles, theories, and practices associated with state-of-the-art fire science and management, to include issues relating to tactical fire operations, fire safety, firefighting leadership and management, and community fire issues.
Students will expand their thinking beyond fire-specific issues in areas related to firefighting through coursework in fire protection services, administration, investigations, human resource management, homeland security and emergency/disaster management. All courses are offered at the Rockville Campus (located just north of Washington, D.C. in Montgomery County, Maryland) and some classes are offered through Distance Learning through WebCt. The program is expanding to offer additional certificates and degrees in Fire Science and Emergency Services.
