A two-alarm fire destroyed five rowhouses in Chester, PA, on a 7-degree day on Jan. 27, 2003. All of the occupants escaped safely.

This month's Firehouse® is dedicated to Firefighter/EMT James Edward, 28, of the Bonham, TX, Fire Department; Firefighter Gary Staley, 32, of the Porter, TX, Volunteer Fire Department; Captain Dennis G. Mignerone, 50, of the Webster Groves, MO, Fire Department; Fire Police Officer James McAuley, 78, of the Polk Township, PA, Volunteer Fire Department; and Firefighter/EMT Keith R. Hess, 22, of the Fannett Metal, PA, Fire Department, all of whom died in the line of duty, January 2003.
