A camp crew from the Los Angeles County Fire Department prepares to go to work at a second-alarm brushfire near Santa Clarita, CA, on Aug. 3, 1998. Quick action by L.A. County and L.A. City helicopters held the fire to 100 acres. Fifteen L.A. County engines, three L.A. County helicopters, one L.A. City helicopter, four camp crews and two water tenders responded.
